Didier and Catherine Champalou have been producing this dry, delightful, full-of-energy Chenin Blanc sparkling Vouvray for some years now. Its acidity is as refreshing as putting your face under running water in the summer. It doesn't look like champagne, it would be almost myopic to make comparisons. In terms of pleasure and value for money, it plays in its own separate category with virtually no rival.
