WINE RELATED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS NATURAL WINE?

In its purest form, natural wine is made with only grapes; nothing added, nothing taken away. Our interpretation includes organically grown fruit and little to no sulfites added. In practice, these wild-fermented, unadjusted, unfined and unfiltered wines often taste different, possibly a little cloudy, sometimes a bit spritzy, zingy, raw or funky.

WHY DO YOUR WINES SELL OUT SO OFTEN?

We mostly work with small producers, stocking really rare or limited wines. This means that most things that sell out will not be restocked until the next vintage, as no wines are left available. Loved something and now it’s gone? Bummer! You can sign up for notifications to know when it's back - BUT something just as delicious will replace it and that fave will be back in a few months.

I TASTED A WINE LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR’S VINTAGE TASTES COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. WHY?

As mentioned above, natural wine is made only with grapes; nothing added, nothing taken away. Which means that everything is determined by the grapes used to produce your wine. Grapes that are not chemically sprayed and intervened, will differentiate year by year based on the climate of that vintage; sun exposure, wind, hail, humidity, temperature and so many other factors that are beyond anyone’s control. So yes, don’t be surprised if this year’s wine is completely different - it means that there is a new opportunity for you to explore what happened that season, and how that story was translated into the wine in your glass.

WHAT IF MY WINE IS CORKED?

It happens! Corks allow wine to breathe just the right amount but sometimes cork can be tainted by TCA, a compound that makes it smell and taste like wet cardboard or an old pair of gym socks. Although not *dangerous* to drink, it certainly isn't pleasurable! If your wine is corked please bring the full bottle (re-sealed with the original cork) into the shop and we’d be happy to exchange or replace it for you. If you are aging your wine more than a year, it should always be stored sideways so the cork can stay moist and be kept at as stable a temperature as possible (aka: closet or basement: yes!) right beside the radiator (not so much -.-). 

IN - STORE PURCHASES: RETURNS & FAULTS

Not all natural wine is funky, but it can be! Many people adore this style, but it might not be for you. To help you find your funky sweet spot, we’ve labelled all of our wines 1-4 on our Funky Scale with 1 being the most classic and 5 being the most other-worldly. We recommend starting with a 1 or 2 and working your way up to see if you like these flavours.

Sometimes a wine’s funkiness can be mistaken as cork taint - if you believe your wine is corked, a musky and flat taste, please bring it back. Any corked bottles at least 2/3rds full are eligible for a replacement bottle, or store credit of equal value. If the wine is correct, but not to your liking, we’re happy to help you find something right up your alley, but cannot offer an exchange. Have questions? SHIPPING, PICK-UP, ORDERING

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?

We offer free shipping on all orders above 60 euros for delivery within Cyprus. This will automatically apply at checkout.

Delivery within Cyprus is otherwise 4.5 euros. 

Free pick-up is available at our Limassol bottle shop during regular hours. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pick up:

18:00-00:00 Tuesday - Saturday

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?

Orders within Limassol will arrive within 1-2 days, with most deliveries occurring next day. Cyprus wide delivery varies depending on location but takes an average or 2-3 business days.

We can’t guarantee shipping times outside Limassol so please order early if you know you need your wine for a special occasion. Please also not our delivery partners do not deliver on the weekends. 

If you would like your item delivered on a certain day please let us know at checkout.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PICK-UP ORDER TO BE READY?

We will have your order ready in one business day at most, very often we can get this ready for pick up right away.

You’ll receive an email confirming when your order is ready for pick up. If you’re in a super rush and haven’t received an email, give us a call when you’re en route and we’ll try our best to make it happen! 94089966

HOW DO I ADD A NOTE TO MY ORDER?

After you’ve added all your items to your cart, head to the checkout and enter any notes you may have about your order. This includes delivery instructions and any notes.

ONLINE ORDERS: CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

For online wine orders, we have a very quick turnaround time, please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We will refund your order minus a 3% processing fee if the order has not yet shipped. If your order has left the shop, you are welcome to ship unopened wine back to us within 60 days for a refund minus a 15 euros restocking fee and applicable delivery charges. Online orders can also be brought back to the shop within 60 days for an exchange of equal value.

Although we work hard to ship quickly and accurately mistakes happen. If there is ever an error on our end please let us know immediately so we can quickly help solve it.
