Vincent Paris

Cornas Granit 60 - 2023

€43,00

If Granit 30 is the warm-up, Granit 60 is the main event. This bold Cornas from Vincent Paris comes from vines averaging 60 years old, grown on nearly vertical, 60% slopes that force the Syrah vines to dig deep and work hard—just how we like it.

Low yields (think 30 hectolitres per hectare) mean every berry counts, delivering a wine that’s deeply concentrated yet impressively refined. Think violets, cherries, blackberries, and licorice on the nose—then brace yourself for a wave of black fruit jam, spice, and silky tannins on the palate. It’s plush, structured, and built to age like a Rhône rockstar.

Vinification is careful and traditional: 70% destemmed grapes, cool maceration, natural fermentation, and a year in seasoned oak (no new barrels here—Paris wants the vineyard, not the wood, to speak).

With just 4,000 to 5,000 bottles made per year, this is a rare gem for Syrah lovers. Sure, you could open it now (with a big decant and a ribeye), but give it 5–15 years and it’ll reward your patience with a symphony of depth and elegance.

Warning: This wine may cause serious cellaring addiction.
