Vincent Paris

Cornas Granit 30 - 2023

€34,00

Welcome to the steep side of the Rhône! Vincent Paris' Cornas Granit 30 gets its name from the dramatic 30% granite slope where his vines cling for dear life—and produce knockout Syrah. These 15-year-old vines, pruned to yield just four bunches each, focus all their energy into pure, dark-fruited intensity.

This is Syrah with swagger: inky blackberry, pepper spice, and a mineral crunch that pulls you in like a well-cooked cassoulet. A short stint in old oak foudres keeps it fresh and vibrant, allowing the fruit to shine while hinting at wild herbs, crushed rock, and black olive.

While Cornas can often be a brooding beast, Granit 30 is the more approachable younger cousin—bold, but with elegance. It’s peppery, polished, and absolutely begging for rare steak, lamb chops, or a rich, slow-cooked stew.

Vincent Paris—Cornas native, nephew of Rhône legend Robert Michel, and co-president of the Cornas appellation—crafts this gem with low-intervention finesse and deep respect for the land. Production is small, so if you see a bottle, snag it like it’s the last seat at a rock concert.

This wine? It climbs steep hills and lands like velvet.
