Riccitelli Old Vines Chenin Blanc – Patagonia’s Brightest Whisper
Matías Riccitelli is doing Chenin like nobody else in Argentina. Sourced from 60-year-old vines growing way down in Patagonia’s Río Negro, this wine is as wild and refined as the landscape it comes from—think moonlight over glaciers but in your glass.
Crafted with serious care, the grapes are hand-harvested, spend 48 hours getting cozy with their skins, then ferment half in amphora and half in ovoid concrete vats—because apparently, flavor loves geometry. It’s aged for 8 months right where it ferments, giving it time to chill and build complexity without losing its cool.
👃 On the nose: Beeswax, citrus blossoms, green apple, and a stony freshness
👅 On the palate: Soft tannins, layered texture, and an oolong-tea finish that lingers just long enough
This isn’t just a white wine—it’s a mood. It’s for days when you want balance and bite, elegance and edge. A white that’s not afraid of a little structure, a little skin, and a lot of character.
Pair it with grilled vegetables, mild cheeses, or solo contemplation. Either way, Riccitelli’s Chenin Blanc is old vines with new energy, and we are very into it.
