Darker than you’d expect from a clarete — think light red rather than rosé — with a bright ruby colour. The nose is fragrant and direct, full of wild red berries, mountain herbs and balsamic freshness, with subtle creamy notes and a mineral hint of dark stone. On the palate it’s fresh, light on its feet and beautifully drinkable, with juicy fruit, savoury tannins, gentle spice and a faint smoky touch. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and a surprisingly long finish.
