Imagine a wine that's like a playful dance between red berries, earth, and a touch of spice. That's Robinot's Lumière de Sens 2022! This Pineau d'Aunis, from a 40-year-old parcel, is a little later riser than its sibling, Le Regard. But don't worry, it's worth the wait. Fermented on skins as whole bunches for three weeks and then resting in barrels for fifteen months, this wine is a symphony of flavors. It's incredibly pretty, with a gorgeous perfume, and the palate is a delicious adventure. Compact and elegant, it displays none of the trappings of such a year, with neat tannins framing layers of dark fruit, liquorice and spice.
Beautiful now, this will reward drinkers for many years to come.
